This policy outlines how I handle shipping for orders placed through Ascent Goods. My goal is to get your items to you safely and efficiently.
1. Shipping Areas & Carriers
Primary Service Area: I primarily ship within the continental United States.
Carriers: I use reliable carriers like USPS, UPS, and FedEx depending on the item size, weight, destination, and cost-effectiveness.
Remote Areas: Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, US Territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, etc.), APO/FPO addresses, and remote locations may involve longer transit times and potentially higher costs, which will be calculated at checkout.
International Shipping: International shipping is available to select countries. Costs and delivery times vary significantly and will be calculated and displayed during checkout. Customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or fees imposed by their country.
2. Order Processing Time
I aim to process and ship orders within 1-3 business days (Monday-Friday, excluding US holidays) after receiving your payment confirmation.
Processing times may be slightly longer during peak seasons, sales, or for items requiring special packaging.
Orders placed on weekends or holidays will begin processing the next business day.
3. Shipping Timeframes & Tracking
Transit Times: Once shipped, delivery times depend on the carrier, service chosen (if options are offered), and destination. Standard shipping within the continental US typically takes 3-7 business days after leaving my facility. Times to remote areas or internationally will be longer.
Tracking: You will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number once your order leaves my facility. Please use this to monitor your package’s progress on the carrier’s website.
4. Shipping Costs
Free Standard Shipping: I offer free standard shipping on orders over $50 shipped within the continental United States.
Orders Under $50:** A flat-rate shipping fee of **$5.95 applies to orders under $50 shipped within the continental US.
Remote Areas & International: Shipping costs to Alaska, Hawaii, US Territories, APO/FPO, and international destinations are calculated based on weight, dimensions, and destination during checkout. Any applicable surcharges will be shown before you complete your purchase.
5. Shipping Responsibilities for Returns/Exchanges
My Mistake (Wrong/Damaged Item): If I send the incorrect item or an item arrives damaged due to shipping, I will cover the cost of return shipping and the cost to send the correct replacement.
Change of Mind / Unwanted Item: If you wish to return an item (unused, in original packaging) for reasons like size or simply changing your mind (within the timeframe stated in my Return Policy), you are responsible for the cost of return shipping. I will cover the cost of shipping a replacement item if applicable.
Undeliverable Packages: If a package is returned to me because of an incorrect or insufficient address provided by the customer, or refusal of delivery, the customer is responsible for any additional shipping costs incurred to reship the item (if possible) or the cost of the original shipment will not be refunded.
6. Risk of Loss
Once I hand your package over to the shipping carrier, responsibility for the package transfers to you. I am not liable for loss, damage, or theft after the carrier accepts the shipment. Please contact the carrier directly if your tracking shows delivery but you haven’t received the package.
7. Force Majeure
I am not responsible for delays in shipping caused by events beyond my reasonable control, such as natural disasters, severe weather, pandemics, war, labor disputes, or carrier delays.
